Heartfelt, Creative & Intentional are the words I would use to describe Vanvisa and Brian’s wedding at Old Orchard Creek blueberry farm in Lansing, NC. They, along with Vanvisa’s brother Van, had countless ideas for how to make their wedding day truly special and memorable for their guests. With their culinary background, you can bet that the food and beverage component was front and center.

The event started with guests mingling and grabbing an Aperol Spritz and then taking a shuttle up a winding farm road to the top of a mountain. What awaited them was a 360 view and the oldest living tree in Ashe County. After the ceremony, guests were shuttled back down to the main reception area [lovingly called “The Shed”] for cocktail hour where one treat was more exciting than the next.

Dinner under a beautiful sail cloth tent followed with an elaborate family style meal prepared by Jacob Boehm and the team from Snap Peas Catering. It was literally the most beautiful meal we’ve ever seen. The surprises kept coming throughout the evening from hand cut french fries, to blueberry cobbler [incorporating berries from Old Orchard] and then finally fresh baked cookies and milk shooters.

Vanvisa’s brother Van dreamed up and executed all of the floral and design elements as a gift to the couple. He seamless honored their Laotian roots while also embracing the rustic mountain style of Old Orchard Creek.

Vanvisa and Brian’s wedding was hands down one of the most intricate wedding days we’ve ever put together but the end result was absolutely epic in all ways shapes and forms.
