“Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We’re both of us beneath our love, we’re both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love”
-Leonard Cohen
The DJ leaned over to me while we were all watching Charlene and Anthony’s First Dance with awe wonder and said “Hey how long have they been working on this choreography”…
”Ummm they never even told me they were doing a choreographed first dance” said I.
But it was shear perfection… like watching an episode of Dancing with the Stars…
When I asked Charlene about it later that night she said “Oh we didn’t choreograph it. We just took a few dance lessons and practiced in the kitchen. Actually choreographing it would be wayyy to much pressure”.
I love that philosophy applied to marriage. Putting the work in, creating a solid foundation and then just letting life happen…together.
