Pandemic times are turning the Event Industry upside down. For our team, of course it’s been a difficult year. It’s also brought on a lot of time for reflection, creative projects and growing in new directions.
When Hannah Hunt from Golden Thistle Design came to me and said – “I just had a wedding cancel and I have about a trillion flowers to use” – We said, “Lets get to work!!!!”
It was the first time I’ve helped put together a styled shoot in under a week. Luckly, Hannah had a super strong vision and already had all of the design elements all mapped out and ready to go.
The tricky part was finding the perfect location. We were so excited when Melina from Common Good Co. agreed to let us use their upstairs gallery space. The afternoon light coming in the windows was truly magical.
Another fun component was Devorah Chocolates. Owner, Meagan Brown created a beautiful 2 Tier, complete with hand dried dyed apple slices folded to look like dried flowers. She also brought along a variety of chocolate treats and hand dipped dried fruits for us to play with.
With the quick turnaround time, we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to include any custom paper goods. Megan Sheppard, our lovely photographer took a chance and reached out to Champagne Maker out of Charlotte. They said yes immediately and proceed to send us every element we could have ever dreamed up and then put them in the mail for next day shipping.
So thankful for our amazing vendor community in the High Country and especially for all of the folks who contributed to this shoot. This was honestly one of the most stunning project’s I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of.
